What Cookies the Site Uses
volarelanguage.com runs on WordPress and WooCommerce, and it uses the essential, functional cookies those platforms rely on to function: a session cookie that keeps you signed in as you move between pages, and cart/checkout cookies that let WooCommerce remember what you’re purchasing as you go through signup and subscription. These cookies don’t track you across other sites, and they aren’t used for advertising — they exist so the login, the classroom dashboard, and the checkout flow function correctly.
We don’t have any third-party analytics tools, advertising tools, or cross-tracking tools configured on volarelanguage.com. If that changes, we’ll update this notice to name the tool, describe what it collects, and explain your choices around it — we won’t add analytics tracking silently.
No Ad-Tracking, and Children Excluded
We don’t run advertising or ad-tracking on volarelanguage.com, for anyone — teacher, parent, or student. Student accounts are excluded entirely from analytics and from marketing communication: a student account has no email address to send marketing to in the first place, and student activity isn’t fed into any analytics or advertising tool, whether or not one is ever added for the rest of the site. This is consistent with how student data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Map & Retention Schedule — a student’s nickname, class, and progress data are used only to run the reading platform for that student and to show their teacher how the class is doing.
Managing Cookies
You can control or clear cookies through your browser’s own settings — most browsers let you block, delete, or be notified about cookies from a given site. Keep in mind that volarelanguage.com’s essential cookies are what keep you signed in and let checkout work: if you block or delete them, you won’t be able to stay logged in or complete a purchase, since there’s no way for the site to recognize your session without them.
